Temperature Testing

TMT Laboratories versatile test beds accommodate many customer needs, including temperature testing. Often times, real world service simulations include a tension member’s exposure to a variety of temperatures. TMT Laboratories can run a variety of tests to simulate extreme temperature conditions. TMT Laboratories has hot and cold chambers which allow tensile testing, cycling over a sheave, and mechanical characterization tests to be conducted while the tension member is exposed to either extreme heat or extreme cold conditions similar to the conditions the tension member would see during it’s life cycle in the field. During testing, a data acquisition system records temperature using an assortment of temperature monitoring devices. TMT Laboratories temperature monitoring devices include thermocouples and infrared thermometers. We can easily rent a thermal imaging device when requested, as well. As usual, TMT Laboratories can also monitor mechanical, electrical, and optical properties during testing.
